본고에서는 52개 유적에서 확인된 139점의 평저호를 대상으로 형식 분류하여 기종을 세분하고 통계적 분석 방법을 통해 검증해 보았다. 백제 한성기의 평저호는 어깨나 구연의 형태, 동최대경의 위치 등을 통해 원견호와 평견호, 광견호 그리고 평저단경호와 평저광구호로 세분할 수 있다. 평저호가 출토된 유적은 지형과 수계에 의해 한강유역권, 미호천 및 갑천유역권, 서해안유역권, 금강중하류유역권 및 영산강유역권으로 구분된다. 이들 유적에서 확인되는 평저호는 각기 다른 양상을 보인다. 특히 산수리, 용원리, 신봉동유적 등을 중심으로 하는 미호천 및 갑천 유역권에서는 평견호의 출토비율이 매우 높아 주목되는데, 평견호는 이 일대를 제외하고는 거의 확인되지 않는다. 특히 생산유적인 진천가마 말기에 해당하는 산수리 7호 요지에서 대량으로 발견되어, 4세기 후엽 경 이 지역에서 자체적으로 생산되고 있었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 원견호는 기존에 유견호로 불리던 토기로 동최대경이 견부에 있으나 둥근 형태를 띠는 토기를 말한다. 원견호와 평견호는 그동안 동일한 기종의 것으로 분류되어왔으나, 분포지역이나 시기 등이 확연히 달라 본고에서는 양자를 각각 독립적인 기종으로 파악했다. 이밖에도 서해안유역권에서는 원견호가, 한강유역권에서는 평저단경호가, 영산강유역권에서는 광구호의 출토빈도가 높아 평저호의 지역성을 확인할 수 있었다.
This is a study on the Baekje flat-bottomed Jar. The Baekje flat-bottomed jar is classified by shoulder or neck shape; roundish-shoulder jar, square-shoulder jar, wide-shoulder and short-necked jar. This study about the flat-bottomed jar based on typological and statistical methodology. Firstly, I selected attributes by shaped type and mearesure; rim, shoulder, base shaped. Next, I tried to verify these types selected through statistical methodology. The regions have sites, were excavated Baekje flat-bottomed Jar, divided five sites. The remains was excavated are divided into Han-river reach, the Miho-chon & the Gab-chon basin, the western sea basin, the mid-downstream of Gum-river basin and Youngsan-river basin according to each topographical circumstance. The flat-bottomed jar identified at these remains site have different aspects at each. Especially, It is remarkable that the flat-bottomed jars was excavated at high ratio in the Miho-chon & the Gab-chon basin centering around Sansu-ri, Yongone-ri, Singbong-dong sites and so on. Because considerable quantities are discovered in Sansu-ri No.7 at the end of the Jinchon kiln known manufacturing remains, It was identified that these have been manufactured for oneself in the early and middle 4th century.
