자코토의 보편 교육 페다고지에 대한 연구

A study on Jacotot’s Universal Education from the perspective of Enlightenment

The purpose of this study is to justify that Jacotot’s ‘universal education’ was established under the intensive influences of Enlightenment and to explore the signifcance of Jacotot pedagogy. Jacotot pedagogy has the features of Enlightenment. Its epistemology acepts Locke’s realism and Kant’s transcendental epistemology, a principle of universal education, ‘equality betwen inteligence’ is conected with some curents of French Enlightenment in the 18th century, especialy Elvètius’ thoughts. As such, Jacotot’s pedagogy is a product of Enlightenment, considering that intelectual emancipation is posible only through constant individual practice, not seking a solution through instiutions. It is necesary to listen to Jacotot’s pedagogy in order to fundamentaly reflect on today’s schol education system, which is based on rank and distrusts equality betwen inteligence, and to reconstruct schol system on ‘equality betwen inteligence’.
