K. Barth’s Spirituality: A Study on Barth’s Ecclesiology in His Doctrine of Reconciliation

칼 바르트의 영성에 관한 본 연구는 그의 교회교의학 제4권의 화해론에서 전개된 교회론을 중심으로 고찰되었다. 바르트의 교회론은 기독론적 교회론이다. 그에게 있어서 교회는 예수를 그리스도로 믿고 고백한 성도들의 교제로서의 신앙공동체인 그리스도의 몸으로서 예수 그리스도의 지상적 역사적 존재 형태이다. 그러나 교회의 머리 되신 예수 그리스도는 그의 영인 성령을 통하여 역사하신다. 이에 그의 교회론은 성령논적 교회론이기도 하다. 곧 교회는 성령의 일깨우는 능력에 의하여 집합되고, 성령의 생동케 하는 능력에 의하여 건설되고 그리고 성령의 조명케 하는 능력에 의하여 세상에 파송되는 것이다. 세상에 파송되는 교회의 존재 이유는 하나님을 사랑하고 주 되시는 그리스도를 사랑할 뿐만아니라 하나님과 그리스도께서 사랑하신 세상과 사람을 위하여 서랑하고 섬기는 데 있다. 그러므로 바르트의 교회론은 그리스도론적-성령론적 교회론(Chrstologico-Pnewmatologico Ecclesiology)라 할 것이다.

This study on K. Barth’s spirituality is studied through his ecclesiology developed in his Doctrine of Reconciliation of Church Dogmatics IV. For Barth, the Christian Church is His body as community of faith, i.e., the earthly historical form of Him. Barth’s ecclesiology is Christologico ecclesiology. However, Jesus Christ works on His Church through His spirit, the Holy Spirit. Thus, his ecclesiology is Pnewmatologico Ecclesiology, as well. The Christian Church is gathered by the awakening power of Holy Spirit, is built by the aliving power of Holy Spirit, and is sent to the world by the enlightening power of Holy Spirit. The Church which is sent to the world exists for the world as well as human being. That is to love Jesus Christ and God who sent the church to the world. In this sense, Barth’s ecclesiology is Christotlogico-Pnewmatologico Ecclesiology.
