은퇴한 댄스스포츠 여성 선수들의 직업전환 과정 탐색

Exploring for process of retired dancesport female athletes career transition

목적 본 연구의 목적은 댄스스포츠 여성 선수들이 처한 은퇴 후 상황을 이해하고 이들이 직업을 전환해가는 과정을 실체이론으로 제시함으로써 은퇴한 여성 선수들이 체육계에서 이탈하는 현상을 최대한 막고 전문 인력들을 다양한 분야에서 적극 활용할 수 있는 제도적 대안을 마련해나가는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 방법 이를 위해 이론적 표본추출 방법에 근거하여 5명의 연구 참여자를 선정하였고 심층면담과 문서수집을 실시하였다. 분석 방법은 Strauss와 Corbin(1998)이 제시한 3단계 분석 단계에 따라 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩을 수행하였으며, 자료의 진실성을 확보하기 위해 분석 및 해석 과정에서 구성원 간 검토 및 전문가 협의를 실시하였다. 결과 개방코딩인 ‘은퇴한 댄스스포츠 여성 선수들의 직업전환 과정 범주화’를 통해 102개의 개념과 22개의 하위범주, 19개의 범주가 도출되었고, 축코딩인 ‘은퇴한 댄스스포츠 여성 선수들의 직업전환 과정 구조화’를 통해 패러다임에 의한 범주분석을 실시하여 모형에 재배치시킨 후 각각의 속성과 차원을 확인하였다. 선택코딩인 ‘은퇴한 댄스스포츠 여성 선수들의 직업전환 과정 구축’에서는 핵심범주로 ‘혼란 속에서 살아남기 위한 성장과 도전으로 새롭게 정착하기’가 선정되었으며 이야기 윤곽전개를 실시하여 전체 범주 간 연관성을 확인하였다. 결론 은퇴한 댄스스포츠 여성 선수들은 직업을 전환하기 위한 다양한 노력과 도전을 시도하였고 자신만의 영역을 스스로 구축해감으로써 새로운 직업에 대한 만족감을 형성해나간 것으로 나타났다.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to understand the post-retirement situation of female athletes in dancesports and to suggest the process of transitioning their occupations through practical theory to prevent the retired female athletes from leaving the sports field, and to provide the primary data necessary to develop educational, policy and institutional alternatives that can be actively used in various areas. Methods Five participants were selected as the subject based on the theoretical sampling method, and in-depth interviews and document collection were conducted. Results For the analysis, open coding, axial coding, and selective coding were performed according to the three-step analysis step suggested by Strauss and Corbin (1998). Member checks and peer debriefings were conducted during the analysis and interpretation to ensure the integrity of the data. As a result, 102 concepts, 22 subcategories, and 19 categories were derived through the open coding “categorization of the retired dancesports women s career transition process”. The category analysis of paradigm carried out through the axis coding “structured retirement process of retired dancesports female athletes , and assigned categories to six components and confirmed their attributes and dimensions. As for the selective coding “Building a career transition process for retire dancesports women”, “Building own reality through bold challenge” was selected as the core category. Conclusions retired dancesports female athletes have made diverse efforts and challenges to change their careers, and by building their own domains, they were satisfied with their new job.
