Enactment of the laws and regulations pertaining to the Covered Bond will significantly contribute to the diversification of the capital in the long-term and to strengthening of the Korean institutions in the globalized financial industry in the world to improve the structured problems that so mark short-term capital sourcing by the Korean financial institutions. In addition, related laws are deemed necessary to prevent moral hazard of the financial institutions such as the sub prime crisis that occurred in the USA.
