In recent years, the government has been developing new types of public housing such as happy houses and newlywed towns and supplying them to young people. In this study, based on the 2018 housing survey, the factors influencing the housing choices of youth households were analyzed. First, in order to confirm the necessity of the study, the residential status of youth households and other households was compared. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there was a statistically significant difference in the housing area and the level of housing cost in the residential characteristics. It was found that the youth households had less income, the number of households, and the age of household owners than other households. A logistic analysis was conducted to analyze the factors influencing the housing choices of youth households. First, in the analysis of self-owned doctors, it was found that the residential area, ordinary income, the degree of burden of housing costs, and the age of householders influenced the choice of self-owned owners. The factors influencing the intention to move to public rental housing were statistically significant in terms of the exclusive area, residential area, number of households, ordinary income, burden of housing costs, and age of household owners. This study is meaningful in that it suggests implications by conducting a study on housing selection factors for youth households.
