키워드 네트워크 분석을 활용한 디지털리터러시 연구 동향분석

Digital Literacy Research Trend Analysis Using Keyword Network Analysis: 2011-2015 and 2016-2020 comparative analysis

디지털 환경에서 학습자가 주도적으로 가치로운 삶을 살아가기 위해 디지털 기술을 올바르게 이해하고 사용하여 정보를 탐색하고 활용하며 비판적으로 분석, 평가하여 소통하고 창조하는 역량인 디지털리터러시는 코로나19로 인한 팬데믹 후로 급격하게 그 필요성이 증대되어 사회 전반에서 기능을 하고 있다. 그러나 최근까지 디지털리터러시에 초점은 둔 다양한 연구는 이루어지지 않고 있기에 디지털리터러시 연구의 동향을 지난 10년간의 연구 동향을 4차 산업혁명의 기점이 되는 2016년을 기점으로 전기와 후기로 나누어 분석하여 살펴보았다. 디지털리터러시 연구의 양적 변화와 핵심 키워드, 연결중심성과 클러스터 맵의 변화를 파악하기 위하여 본 연구는 키워드 네트워크 분석을 실시하였으며 그 결과 첫째, 2011-2020까지 디지털리터러시에 관한 연구의 양적 변화가 전기 5년(2011년-2016년) 보다 후기 5년(2016년-2020년)간의 연구가 약 3.5배 정도 증가함을 파악하였다. 둘째, 디지털리터러시의 키워드 네트워크 맵 분석 결과 연결중심성이 가장 높은 키워드는 ‘교육’, ‘디지털’, ‘디지털리터러시’, ‘리터러시’이고 후기 5년에서 ‘능력’, ‘정보’가 발견되었으며, 네트워크 맵에서도 노드 수가 증가와 연결망의 복잡한 변화를분석하였다. 셋째, 클러스터 맵 분석 결과 전기 5년에서는 5개의 큰 군집이, 후기 5년간 크게9개의 군집이 형성되었고 이를 통해 연구의 양적 증가와 연구 분야의 다양한 확장을확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 급증하는 디지털리터러시 연구에 대한 질적 분석을제안하였으며 “교육”에 편중된 디지털리터러시의 연구 주제의 확장과 더불어 사회전반의 다양한 분야에서의 탐색의 필요성을 역설함으로써 디지털리터러시에 대한 융합적 연구의 강화에 대해 논의하였다.

In a digital environment, digital literacy, which is the ability to correctly understand and use digital technology to lead a valuable life in a digital environment, explore and use information, critically analyze, evaluate, communicate, and create, has been developed since the COVID-19 pandemic. Its necessity has increased rapidly, and it is functioning throughout society. However, since there has been no convergent research on digital literacy, the trend of digital literacy research has until recently been examined by analyzing the research trends of the past 10 years. To understand the quantitative change of digital literacy research, keywords, degree centrality, and cluster map, this study conducted keyword network analysis. The results revealed a quantitative change in the research on digital literacy from 2011 to 2020. Such change increased by about 3.5 times in the latter five years (2016-2020) than in the first five years (2011-2015). Second, analysis of the keyword network map of digital literacy revealed those with the highest degree centrality were “education,” “digital,” “digital literacy,” and “literality,” and “competency” and “information” were added in the latter five years. In addition, the network map also showed an increase in the number of nodes and a complex change in the network. Third, by analyzing the cluster map, five large clusters were formed in the first five years and nine large clusters were formed in the latter five years. Through this, the quantitative increase of research and various expansion of the research field were confirmed. Based on these research results, we proposed a qualitative analysis of the rapidly increasing digital literacy research and emphasized the need for exploration in various fields of society as well as the expansion of the research topic of digital literacy focused on “education.” The reinforcement of convergent research was also discussed.
