통일정책 효과성 인식 영향요인에 관한 연구

A study on the Young People’s Perception of the Effectiveness of Unification Policy:Focusing on Daegu-Gyeongbuk

본 연구는 청년의 통일 정책에 대한 인식이 통일 정책 효과성 인식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대해 실증적으로 고찰한다. 이를 위해 대구·경북지역 소재의 대학교에 재학 중인 학생들의 통일 정책 관심도, 통일 경제성 인식, 북한 관련 인식에 따른 통일 정책 효과성 인식을 분석한다. 분석 결과, 통일에 관해 관심이 낮고, 북한을 ‘협력대상’으로 바라보기 보다는 ‘경계 대상’으로 인식하고 있기에, 통일 정책의 효과성에 대해 회의적으로 바라보는 것으로 확인된다. 둘째, 북한 및 통일 교육 수강 경험이 있는 학생이 통일 정책에 대한 효과성에 대해 긍정적으로 인식한다. 셋째, 통일이 경제적으로 도움이 된다고 생각할수록 통일 정책이 효과적이라고 인식한다. 연구 결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 청년의 통일에 관한 인식 및 통일 정책에 관한 관심 및 효과성 인식을 높이기 위해, 청년들을 위한 맞춤 통일 이익론이 구상되어야 할 것으로 보이며, 북한 및 통일 관련 정책에 대한 홍보 강화와 청년을 대상으로 한 북한과 통일 관련 교육의 강화를 제안한다.

This study empirically examines young people’s perception of the effectiveness of unification policy. In order to understand youth s perception of the effectiveness of unification policy, this study pays attention to diverse factors including perception of North Korea, willingness to pay unification tax, perception of unification benefits, the interest of unification policy. This result suggests that they are skeptical about the effectiveness of unification policy when young people look at North Korea as hostile target. Young people’s experience of taking classes related North Korea has a positive relationship with their perception of the effectiveness of unification policy. Young people are positive view about the effectiveness of the unification policy when they think that unification will give economical benefits to them.
