시민성 함양을 위한 문학비평 수업 사례 연구

A Case Study on the Literary Criticism Class for Improving Citizenship

목적 본 연구는 시민성을 함양하기 위한 시민교육의 한 방법으로서 문학비평교육의 가치를 탐색하고, 실제 수업 운영사례를 통해 그 가능성을 입증하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 시민교육 관련 선행연구를 검토하여 본 연구에서 중점적으로 고려해야 할 요소를 도출하고, 이와 연계하여 문학비평 활동의 각 과정이 이 핵심 요소들을 어떤 방식으로 형성하고 발달시키는지 분석하였다. 이를 입증하고자 충남 소재 G교육대학교에서 개설 및 운영한 교양필수과목의 수업 내용을 소개하고, 학습자들의 실제 비평 사례를 제시하여 상관관계를 밝히고자 하였다. 결과 학습자들은 교수자가 전달한 비평이론을 다양하게 활용하여 문학비평 글쓰기, 발표, 학습자 간 토론 과정을 모두 완수하였다. 이를 통해 작품에서 현실 세계로 비판적 시각을 확장하고, 타자에 대한 공감 및 연대의식을 계발하였다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과의 의미를 개별 주체인 동시에 공적 주체인 시민으로서의 도야 가능성을 보여주는 것이라 분석하였다. 결론 수업 종료 후 학습자들이 게시한 강의평가 의견을 일부 삽입하여 문학비평교육의 역량 증진 효과성을 간접적으로 제시하였으며, 시민교육으로서 문학비평교육의 적극적 모색이 필요함을 강조하였다. 차후에는 시민성 함양 관련 설문지를 개별적으로 제시하여 시민교육과의 연관성을 보다 세부적으로 밝혀낼 필요가 있다.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to reveal the value of literary criticism education for improving citizenship, and to prove its potential by presenting actual class operation cases. Methods The first research method is to derive key factors by reviewing previous studies related to citizenship education. And how it is formed in literary criticism activities was analyzed. Then, this study introduced the contents of the liberal arts classes lectured at the G University of Education in Chungnam and revealed the correlations by presenting the critical activities of the learners. Results All learners successfully completed the project using critical theory. They expanded their critical perspectives and increased empathy and solidarity with others. This study confirmed that literary criticism education improved learners democratic citizenship. Conclusions The lecture evaluation opinions left by learners confirm the significance of literary criticism education. In the next class, a citizen-related survey will be conducted, which will enhance the quality of the research.
