사하라 이남 아프리카의 ICT 스타트업 창업생태계 주요 구성요소 우선순위 연구

A Study on the Prioritizing Determinants of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem for Digital (ICT) Start-ups in Sub-Saharan Africa

본 연구는 사하라 이남 아프리카의 ICT 스타트업 창업생태계에서 주요 구성요소의 우선순위를 도출하는 연구로 나이지리아, 케냐, 남아프리카를 중심으로“사하라 이남 아프리카 ICT 스타트업 창업생태계에서 어떤 구성요소들이 중요도에 우선순위가 있을까?”라는 질문에 답하기 위해 연구를 진행하였다. 선행 연구를 통하여 구성요소의 계층을 설계하고, 현지 전문가 대상 AHP 기법을 활용하여 자료를수집하고 분석하였다. 연구 결과, ICT 스타트업 창업생태계 도메인 우선순위를 도출하였는데, 사하라이남 아프리카의 경우 ‘시장, 금융, 자원, 지식, 인프라, 정책, 문화, 지원’ 순으로 나타났다. 개별 국가의 경우 나이지리아는 ‘시장, 정책, 금융, 자원, 지식, 문화, 지원, 인프라’, 케냐는 ‘금융, 시장, 정책, 인프라, 지식, 자원, 문화, 지원’, 남아프리카공화국은 ‘시장, 금융, 인프라, 자원, 문화, 지식, 지원, 정책’ 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 사하라 이남 아프리카의 주요 창업생태계인 나이지리아, 케냐, 남아프리카공화국에 대해 어떤 구성요소가 얼마나 우선순위에 있는지 국가별로 비교 연구하여 시사점을 제시한 의의가 있다.

This research aims to examine the priorities and importance of major determinants of the ICT Startups’ entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) focusing on Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa. Based on the hierarchies of major determinants designed through literature reviews, this research was conducted using AHP techniques targeting local experts from Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa. As a result, SSA ICT startups ecosystem’s determinants were prioritized: Market, Finance, Resource, Knowledge, Infrastructure, Policy, Culture, Support. As an individual country, Nigeria was prioritized: Market, Policy, Finance, Resource, Knowledge, Support, Infrastructure, Kenya was prioritized: Finance, Market, Policy, Infrastructure, Knowledge, Resource, Culture and Support, and South Africa were prioritized Market, Finance, Infrastructure, Resource, Culture, Knowledge, Support, and Policy. This research has both academic and policy implications in that suggesting the implications of a country-by-country comparison of what determinants are of priority for sub-Saharan Africa s especially in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Afric
