Meaningful Learning Model for Bible Learning

포스트모던 시대, 정보사회의 상대적 가치 속에서 보편적인 신앙의 가치를 훼손하지 않고 지켜가는 것이란 21세기에 주어진 신앙공동체의 과제가 아닌가 생각된다. 지금까지 개인의 신앙정체성은 신앙공동체의 전통과 나눔 속에서 형성되어 왔다. 그러나 신앙공동체의 삶이 개인의 삶과 관련이 없을 때 더 이상 신앙공동체의 전통과 나눔은 개인의 신앙형성과는 무관하게 된다. 본 글에서 논의하고 있는 유의미성서학습의 목적은 개인의 신앙형성을 통해서 공동체를 세워가는 것에 방향을 두고 있다. 유의미성서학습은 신앙학습자로 하여금 학습과제인 성서를 의미 있게 재구성하여 전달하는 것을 통해서 성서의 말씀이 학습자에게 의미 있는 말씀으로 학습되고, 그러한 배움의 실천이 신앙공동체의 전통과 삶으로 이어지고, 개개인의 삶의 자리에서 실천될 수 있도록 하기 위한 교육목적을 갖는다. 예수 그리스도께서 하나님과 인간을 만나러 오신 성육신 사건처럼, 유의미성서학습에서는 학습과제와 학습자를 연결하기 위한 선행조직자를 통하여 의미 있는 성서학습이 될 수 있도록 교수설계모형을 제시하고 있다.

Dominated by relative values in postmodern and information society, to keep universal value of faith is a task of faith communities in 21st Century. Personal faith identity has been formed in traditions and sharing of faith communities. However, if lives of faith communities are not related to an individual’s life, their traditions and sharing does not affect a person’s faith formation anymore. Meaningful Bible learning aims to establish a community through individual faith formation. Meaningful Bible learning has an educational purpose for faith learners to learn the Word in Bible as meaningful ones to them by restructuring and delivering Bible learning tasks to them, to lead these learning practices to traditions and sharing of faith community and to realize them in personal daily lives. As Jesus Christ incarnates for the encounter of God and humanity, Meaningful Bible learning suggests a teaching design model for it through advanced organizer to connect study tasks and learners.
