본 연구는 교역자의 아내로서 다양한 역할을 감당하고 교회 안팎에서 리더십을 발휘하는 사모들을 교육하는 사모교육을 탐색하여 교회 내 목회자 사모교육을 효과적으로 실행하기 위한 모델과 전략을 제시하는 데에 있다. G교회의 사모 20명을 대상으로 참여관찰과 면담을 실시한 사례연구 결과 G교회의 사모교육 프로그램은 15주에서 17주 동안의 학기제로 이루어지고 그 내용은 성경공부, 서적 나눔, 특새 나눔, 특강 및 세미나, 야외활동, 조별모임 등으로 운영되었다. 지식 나눔의 영역은 성경공부와 서적 나눔으로 나뉘어 지식적으로 정보와 지식을 습득하고 감정적으로 경험과 생각을 공유하며 의지적으로 결단하고 적용하는 전인격적인 성장을 지향하였다. 또한 교제를 통해 다양한 활동을 함께 하고 경조사를 공유함으로써 공동체성을 강조하였다. 이를 바탕으로 연구자는 사모들을 위한 효과적인 교육프로그램을 개발하기 위해서 지식의 개발, 기능의 개발, 건강한 공동체의 구축이 있어야 한다고 제언한다. 이는 그리스도인의 지식적, 정의적, 의지적 측면과도 맥락을 같이 하여 사모들의 교회 공동체 내에서의 건강성을 확보할 수 있기 때문이다.
The purpose of this study is to suggest strategies for effective im-plementation of education for pastors’ wives who play multiple roles and demonstrate leadership in church. A case study of twenty pastors’ wives at G church was carried out by means of observation and interview. Results show that members participated in Bible study, book study, discussion of special workship, special lectures, semi-nars, outdoor activities, and small group meetings every semester that was composed of fifteen to seventeen weeks. As knowledge sharing, Bible study and book study allowed participants to acquire know-ledge, share experiences and feelings, and act out what they learned, which aims for growth of intellect, feeling, and will. Also, the sense of community became strengthened by celebrating special events, as-sociating with each other, and participating in various activities. As an implication, this study suggests that an effective program for pastors’ wives should help participants to develop intellect, train necessary skills, and build community.
