여대생들의 한국여성리더십 교육경험에 관한 탐색적 연구

An Exploratory Study of the Undergraduate Students’ Experiences for Korean Women Leadership Program

본 연구는 한국여성리더십의 수업을 경험한 학부생들의 체험을 전반적으로 탐색하고, 향후 한국실정에 맞는 실질적인 여성리더십 교육 개발의 기초자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구문제는 첫째, 여대생들은 ‘한국여성의 리더십’수업을 통해 어떠한 것을 인식하고 경험하였는가?, 둘째, 여대생들은 ‘한국여성의 리더십’수업에서 도움이 된 것은 무엇이고 왜 그렇다고 생각하는가?, 셋째, 여대생들은 ‘한국여성의 리더십’수업에서 도움이 되지 못한 것은 무엇이고 왜 그렇다고 생각하는가? 이다. Colaizzi 현상학적 연구방법을 사용하여 연구결과의 의미와 시사점을 도출하였다. Colaizzi 현상학적 방법으로 이론적 틀과 분석을 사용한 이유는 여대생들의 교육경험에서의 공통적인 의미와 본질을 보다 심층적으로 밝히기 위해서이다. 연구대상은 서울에 소재한 4년제 여자대학교에 재학 중인 6명의 학생들로 학부 과정 중 한국여성리더십을 수강하고 있는 학생들이었으며 수업에서 매주 다루는 주제에 관련한 토론과제와 중간, 기말 보고서, 성찰일지, 특강보고서를 통해 자료를 얻었다. 자료 분석 결과, 7개 구성요소, 20개 하위구성요소가 도출되었으며, ① 여성리더십에 대한 개인적 이슈, ② 여성리더십 개념에 대한 이슈, ③ 여성리더십교육에 대한 이슈의 세주제로 묶을 수 있었다. 이를 통해 리더십 교육 프로그램의 설계와 개발방향에 초점을 두어 연구결과를 논의하였고 마지막으로 연구의 제한점 및 후속연구를 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of undergraduate students having experienced the‘Korean Women in Leadership’ class, and to provide basic data for the development of women s leadership education suitable for the Korean situation. The research questions were: First, what did female college students recognize and experience through the‘Korean Women in Leadership’ class? Second, what did female college students find helpful through the class, and why do they think that? Third, what did female college students find unhelpful through the class, and why? This study derives the implications and meaning of the results using Colaizzi’s phenomenological methodology. The reason for using Colaizzi’s phenomenological methodology is to clarify the common meaning and essence of students educational experiences more in-depth. The participants were six students attending a four-year women s university in Seoul taking ‘Korean Women in Leadership’ undergraduate course. Data were obtained through weekly discussion assignments, midterm and final reports, reflection journals, and special lecture reports. As a result of the analysis, 7 components, and 20 sub-components were derived, which were grouped into three themes: ① personal issues on women’s leadership, ② issues on the concept of women’s leadership, and ③ issues on women’s leadership education. The research results were discussed considering the design and the direction of the development of women’s leadership education program, and finally, limitations of the study and suggestions for follow-up studies were presented.
