대학교수의 음성자각정도와 음향학적 특성 연구

A Study on Voice Awareness and Acoustic Characteristics of University Professors

본 연구는 직업적 음성 사용자인 대학교수의 음성장애지수 하위영역별 자각정도와 음향학적 매개변수의 값을 측정하여 대학교수 집단의 음성 특성을 분석하고, 이를 통해 대학교수들의 음성보호와 관리를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 음성질환이 없는 대학교수 총 30명을 대상으로 음성장애지수와 모음 /아/ 음성샘플을 수집한 후 음성자각 특성, 음향학적 특성 및 음성자각정도와 음향학적 특성 간에 상관관계가 있는지를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 남성은 음성장애지수의 하위영역 간에 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았지만 여성은 신체적 영역이 기능적, 정서적 영역보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높았다. MDVP를 사용하여 대상자의 음향학적 특성을 분석한 결과에서는 F0, Jitter, Shimmer, NHR 모두 정상범위에 포함되는 것으로 나타났다. 음성자각정도에 따른 음향학적 특성을 비교한 결과에서 여성은 F0에서 음성자각정도에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였고, 남성은 Shimmer에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 음성자각정도와 음향학적 특성 간 상관관계 분석에서 남성은 음성장애지수의 정서적 영역과 Shimmer 간에 유의한 상관성을 보였으며, 여성은 신체적 영역과 F0에서 유의한 상관성이 나타났다. 본 연구에서 나타난 대학교수 집단의 음성 특성은 음성 보호와 관리를 위한 기초자료가 될 것으로 기대한다. 대학교수의 음성에 대한 향후 연구에서는 다양한 주관적 및 객관적 음성평가를 사용하여 직업적 음성 사용자인 대학교수의 음성에 대한 보다 포괄적인 분석이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the voice characteristics of university professors by measuring the level of awareness of each sub-domain of the Voice Handicap Index(VHI) and acoustic parameters of professional voice users, and provide basic data for the protection and management of their voices. To this end, a total of 30 university professors without voice disorders collected VHI and vowel /a/ speech samples, and analyzed voice awareness and acoustic characteristics, and analyzed whether there is a correlation between the degree of voice awareness and acoustic characteristics. As a result of the study, there was no statistically significant difference between the sub-domains of the VHI for men, but women have shown statistically significantly higher physical domain than the functional and emotional domain. The analysis of the acoustic characteristics of the subjects using MDVP found that F0, Jitter, Shimmer, and NHR were all within the normal range. The comparison of acoustic characteristics according to the degree of voice awareness showed significant differences in F0 for women and significant differences in Shimmer for men. In the correlation analysis between the degree of voice awareness and acoustic characteristics, men showed a significant correlation between the emotional domain of the VHI and Shimmer, while women showed significant correlation between the physical domain and F0. The voice characteristics of university professors’groups shown in this study are expected to be fundamental data for voice protection and management. Future studies of university professors’voices will require a more comprehensive analysis of the professional voice user’s voice using a variety of subjective and objective voice assessments.
