Understanding of Performance Enhancement Attitude in the Athletes with Disabilities: A Perspective from the Health Action Process Approach

본 연구의 목적은 Schwarzer & Luszczynska (2008)가 제안한 Health Action Process Approach(HAPA)를 바탕으로 장애인 엘리트 선수의 경기력 향상 태도를 파악하고 HAPA의 하위요인 간의 관계를 분석하는데 있다. 본 연구는 설문조사로 실시되었으며 편의표본추출법을 이용하여 2019 전국장애인체전에 참가한 장애인 선수 175명의 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 프로그램과 AMOS 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 경로분석결과, 위험지각과 과제에 대한 자기효능감은 의도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았으며 결과기대는 의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 과제에 대한 자기효능감은 자기효능감 유지에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 자기효능감 유지는 자기효능감 회복에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 의도는 계획에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 계획은 PEAS (Performance Enhancement Attitude Scale)에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 자기효능감 유지와 자기효능감 회복은 각각 계획과 PEAS에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to empirically verify whether Health Action Process Approach (HAPA) suggested by Schwarzer & Luszczynska (2008) can be applied to analyzing the performance enhancement attitude of athletes with disabilities and to identify the influencing relationships between the outcome expectancies, risk perception, self-efficacy, intention, and planning in HAPA. The paper presents a quantitative analysis of primary data gathered through a survey of a convenience sample of athletes with disabilities (n=175) conducted during the 2019 National Para Games by South Korea. Data were analyzed using by SPSS 23.0 program and Amos 23.0 program. Path coefficients indicate that risk perception did not significantly influenced intention, outcome expectancies significantly influenced intention, task self-efficacy did not significantly influenced intention, task self-efficacy significantly influenced maintenance self-efficacy, and also maintenance self-efficacy significantly influenced recovery self-efficacy. In addition, intention significantly influenced planning, planning significantly influenced Performance Enhancement Attitude Scale (PEAS), however, maintenance self-efficacy and recovery self-efficacy did not significantly influenced planning and PEAS.
