Axle drive modules for off-road heavy-duty special vehicles are produced only by a few specialized manufacturers. In this study, reverse engineering is applied to develop the axle drive modules for on- or off-road heavy-duty special vehicles. The prototype axle drive module was developed using CAD/CAE tools with reference to similar existing specifications and evaluation standards. The development process applied in this study is expected to be useful for developing power trains and various axles for off-road heavy-duty special vehicles.
