자기조절학습과 의사소통능력 함양의 필요성

The Necessity of Self-regulatory Learning and Communication Skills for College Students

본 연구는 자기조절학습에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 대학생들이 갖추어야 할 능력으로 자기조절학습 능력과 의사소통역량 함양의 필요성을 제시하고자 한다. 현재 전 세계적으로 코로나19사태라는 특수한 상황과 이로 인한 온라인 비대면 학습이 불가결한 상황이 되었다. 이에 스스로 학습할 수 있어야 하는 학습자의 자기주도 학습능력과 철저한 자기 규제는 학습자가 갖추어야 할 요인으로 꼽을 수 있다. 이에 학습자가 장기적인 목표달성을 위해 스스로를 해결할 수 있는 자기조절능력이 매우 중요하다(허정경, 2003). 최근 여러 분야에서 의사소통 능력의 중요성을 강조하고 있다. 특히 의사소통을 효과적으로 하는 학습자 일수록 기능적인 면에서 자기조절 능력을 가능하게 해주는 척도가 된다(양옥승, 1993). 또 이러한 연구결과는 의사소통 능력 또한 자기조절학습능력의 발달을 이끄는 중요한 요소임을 알 수 있다. 자기조절학습능력과 의사소통역량의 하위요소를 살펴보면 각각의 하위요소가 의미하는 바는 다르나 방향성은 같다고 할 수 있다. 자기조절학습능력에서의 인지는 계획, 점검, 자기 판단에 따른 작업 분석 등의 내용이 학자마다 다르게 세분화된 것을 제시한바와 같이 의사소통역량에서의 분석과 평가가 의미하는 내용이 함축되어 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 이에 우리 사회기 지식인, 교양인, 지성인, 지도자를 양성하는 대학에서 자기조절학습능력과 의사소통능력의 중요성을 인지하여 함양할 수 있는 교육방법 및 교육설계를 통해 인재를 양성해야 한다.

This study is based on the understanding of self-regulated learning and the ability of college students to self-regulated learning. It is intended to suggest the need to foster communication capabilities with the department. Currently, the special situation of the coronavirus worldwide caused online learning requiring self-regulated learning. The emergence of learners self-directed learning that they should be able to require strict self-regulation of students. Given this, self-regulated learning skills can be considered as a factor that learners should have. Therefore, self-regulated learning ability for learners is very important to achieve long-term goals(Heo, 2003). Recently, many areas have emphasized the importance of communication skills, particularly effective communication. The more adversarial learners, the more self-regulatory they are(Yang, 1993). These findings also show that communication skills are also an important factor driving the development of self-regulated learning skills. There are sub-factors of self-regulated learning and communication capabilities. They are different but the direction is the same. The recognition of self-regulated learning capabilities implies the analysis and evaluation of communication capabilities, as suggested by scholars that the contents of planning, inspection, and work analysis based on self-judgment are different. Therefore, universities that train intellectuals, cultured people, intellectuals, and leaders in our society should foster talent through educational methods and design that can recognize and foster the importance of self-regulated learning and communication skills.
