Q방법론을 통해 본 밀레니얼 세대 여대생의 녹차 음용 동기연구

A Study on the Motives of Millennial female college students drinking Green tea through Q-methodology

본 논문은 Q방법론을 통해 밀레니얼 세대 여대생들의 녹차 음용 동기를 유형화하고 각 유형의 특성에 부합되는 녹차 상품 전략을 모색하는 데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 이러한 목적하에 24개의 Q표본을 추출하고 서울과 경기에 소재한 대학에 재학 중인 여학생 25명을 P표본으로 선정하였다. 이들 여대생에 의한 Q분류는 2021년 7월 20일부터 7월 23일까지 진행되었으며 수집된 자료는 QUANL Program으로 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일상의 원기회복을 위한 음용형의 동기를 가진 여대생들에게는 녹차를 물 대신 음용하면 갈증을 해소하면서도 정신을 맑게 해 집중력을 향상하고 피로 회복도 도모하게 되는 점을 상품에서 강조하는 전략이 필요하다. 둘째, 정서적 향유를 위한 음용형의 동기를 가진 여대생들에게는 이들이 공감할 수 있는 코드와 취향을 녹여낸 녹차 상품을 체험하도록 하는 전략이 요구된다. 셋째, 건강 기능성 추구를 위한 음용형의 동기를 가진 여대생들에게는 카테킨류에 대한 설명과 함께 녹차를 꾸준히 마심으로써 얻을 수 있는 효능들을 이해하기 쉬운 정보로 전달하는 상품 전략이 중요하다.

The purpose of this thesis was to categorize the green tea drinking motives of millennial female college students through the Q-methodology and to search for green tea product strategies that match the characteristics of each type. For this purpose, 24 Q samples were extracted and 25 female students from universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do were selected as P samples. The Q sorting by these female college students was carried out from July 20 to July 23, 2021, and the collected data was analyzed with the QUANL Program. The main results are summarized as follows. First, for female college students with drinking-type motives for daily refreshment, it is necessary to have a strategy that emphasizes that drinking green tea instead of water quenches thirst, clears the mind, improves concentration, and recovers fatigue. Second, a strategy is required for female college students with drinking-type motives for emotional enjoyment to experience green tea products with codes and tastes that they can sympathize with. Third, it is important for female college students with drinking-type motives to pursue health functionalities a product strategy that provides easy-to-understand information about the effects of drinking green tea consistently along with an explanation of catechins.
