Relationship of Empathy, Cultural Competency and Creativity Convergence Competency for Fostering Human Resources of Artificial Intelligence Era

본 연구는 창의융합역량을 증진시키기 위한 중등교육과 고등교육과의 연계성을 고려하여, 대학생의 공감 및 문화적 역량 수준과 두 변인의 수준에 따라 창의융합역량이 어떠한지를 분석하는 데 목적을 두었다. 연구대상자는 수도권 및 비수도권 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 대학생 693명이었고, 이들을 대상으로 공감, 문화적 역량 및 창의융합역량 검사를 실시한 연구결과는 다음과 같았다. 배경변인인 성, 학년, 전공, 지역에 따라 공감 및 문화적 역량 수준에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났고, 공감 및 문화적 역량의 수준별 집단에 따라 창의융합역량의 차이가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 고등교육에서 대학생의 창의융합역량을 계발시키기 위한 교과 및 비교과 프로그램 등의 창의융합교육을 실시할 때, 공감 수준을 증진시키고 다양한 문화를 유연하게 수용할 수 있는 문화적 역량을 함양시킬 수 있는 교수-학습법 및 교육과정을 개발하는 데 반영될 수 있을 것이다. 또한 중등교육에서의 창의융합역량 계발을 위한 차별적인 방안이 구안되는데 기초 연구 자료가 될 수 있을 것이다.

This study was to analyze empathy and cultural competency level of university students, and how creativity convergence competency is according to the level of the two variables, considering the link between secondary education and higher education to promote creativity convergence competency. The subjects of this study were 693 university students enrolled in four-year-course universities in the metropolitan area and non-metropolitan areas. The empathy, cultural competency, and creativity convergence competency tests were conducted on them. The results of the study were as follows. In other words, there were significant differences in the level of empathy and cultural competency according to gender, grade, major, and region, which are background variables. The differences in creativity convergence competency according to groups by level of empathy and cultural competency were found. These results show that when creativity convergence education such as regular subjects and extracurricular programs to develop creativity convergence competency of university students in the higher education is conducted, it is possible to enhance empathy and cultivate cultural competency to flexibly accommodate various cultures, which can be reflected in developing teaching-learning methods and curriculum. In addition, a differentiated plan for developing creativity convergence competency in the secondary education can be devised, which can serve as basic research data.
