A Study on Curse Style and Curing Rites of Northern Shamanism

Edward O. Wilson, who explained human culture and myth with biological multi-level selection theory, pointed out that the human kind originally have both the good and the evil on their nature. He also mentioned that other-condemning such as the contempt, anger, or hatred can exist ever as far as our genes are not changed. When viewing the theme of this article on the perspective of human nature, it can be said that the evil is about curse style, and the good is about curing rites. This article examines curse style and curing rites of northern shamanism from historical examples in the documents. The study is conducted on the link of cultural peculiarity among Eurasian-Altai peoples as ideologically having cognitive system of natural law, called as “shamanism”, and ASPM-D factor in the aspect of physical anthropology. As the result, it can be found that curse style and curing rites of Eurasian-Altai peoples have been ideologically or culturally linked with each other.
