몽골 불교음악과 오르팅 도의 상관성

Interrelationship of Mongolian Buddhist Music and Urtiin Duu

This study is what comparatively mentioned a literary context and a musical correlation by obtaining a musical piece of having a song title same as a urtiin duu(уртын дуу), which is a kind of a Mongolian folk song, from a manuscript of gur duu(гүр дуу, the 18th century), which is Mongolian Buddhism that is possessed at Mongolian Central Library. First, totally five urtiin duus with the song title same as gur duu, were confirmed to be aijam urtiin duu(айзам уртын дуу), which is used in several kinds of ceremonies and rituals even out of the urtiin duu. Second, in the literary context, gur duu has a common ground of comprising a verse form like lyrics in aijam urtiin duu. But the contents of lyrics borrow with changing only words in some lyrics of aijam urtiin duu in gur duu into synonym. Still, both the first half and the second half are being consistent with the Buddhist contents. Third, a difference in mutually melodic progression and vocalism was proved through a musically comparative analysis with the current aijam urtiin duu by decoding the manuscript in gur duu. In the literary context, gur duu is developed with a form same as prayer in Buddhism and is progressed with the contents for propagation of Buddhism. Thus, gur duu and aijam urtiin duu have a commonality as saying of being a moral song, which has the aim of public education as a song of being used in all the ceremonies and rituals, but have a difference dubbed being religious or non-religious. Hence, musically comparing gur duu and aijam urtiin duu, which correspond to music of Buddhism, there is a difference as an artistic song and a religious song in its functional aspect excluding a point of being a traditional song in Mongol.
