  • 5

Since the Korea traditional homogeneous community is now opening to the multi-ethnic society, the various social services including the financial services are providing the foreigners. Even the illegal Mongolian workers can send their salary through the banks to their family in hometown. For the bank cooperations Monglolian Khaan Bank signed with Korean banks such as Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank and Korea Exchange Bank(KEB). The Mongolian partner banks for remit are Trade Development Bank, Mongol Shuudan Bank, Anod Bank, Golomt Bank and Credit Bank. To see the remittance of Mongolian workers the average amount of money per person is 800-1000 thousand K\. The number of Mongolians every weekend to use each branch window to remit are 100~110 persons for KEB, 60~70 persons for Shinhan Bank and 10 persons for Kookmin Bank. Still there are many problems to be solved such as 1) small amount of remit for both each time and year base, 2) the remittance are using commonly inefficient way in Mongolia, 3) impossible services for the person with no IDs, 4) impossible services for the persons cannot speak Korean and living in rural area, and 5) impossible services for industrial trainees whose pass port deposited to the factory boss for safety. For further development of financial cooperation to increase the efficiency between Korea and Mongolia the micro-financing and Korea Won Recycling should studied and suggested.
