In Mongolia, the national sports festival is called Nagadam - the most famous celebration of the traditional way. Today`s Mongolian nagadam festivals which consist of Wrestling, Archery and Horse-racing is well lmown as the Three Main Games of Men. General speaking, Mongolian Nagadam festivals is rooted in the mists of antiquity. This work comprises pieces of the study on Nagadam festivals of the northern nomadic people from Hun-na(J) times to Modem Mongolia. Part II, A historical folkloric study of the items of Nagadam festivals, consist of three chapters including Wrestling, Archery and Horse-racing. Chapter 1 : A historical folkloric study of the Wrestling of the ancient northern nomadic people, tried to explain about the origin of Wrestling of the ancient northern nomadic people from Hun-na(7) times to modern Mongolia. As a result of this work, Mongolian Wrestling have very rich folkloric traditions which have been kept alive for two thousand centuries due to the characteristics of ancient northern nomadic people. Chapter 2 A historical folkloric study of the Archery, tried to explain and analysis about similarity and difference of Archery system between Mongolia and early northern nomadic people. As a result of this work, I find out that Mongolian Archery originated Hun-na times and developed by many nomad peoples. Chtapter 3 : A historical folkloric study of the Horse-racing, tried to explain about the origin of modem Mongolian Horse-racing. As a result of this work, I find out that modern Mongolian Horse-racing originated early northern nomadic people. But modern Mongolia Horse-racing more reflect the characteristics of Mongolia region s people than early northern nomadic people. The origin of today`s Mongolian nagadam begins Hun-na times, and it was developed by the soldiers in order to improve their fighting skills. The army was kept in good physical condition by this sport. Research has so far traced the history of Mongolian Nagadam costume back to the B.C. 3th century.
