For our study we have chosen the snake as a general character of world oral literature, tales and myths. In tales and myths of almost all countries snake symbolizes the earth, river and rain. The custom of worshiping the snake originated in Africa, Asia, America and Australia during the Old Stone Age(Paleolithic Age). In some mythological characters the snake was combined as a part of its head, tail and body, such as giant bird Khangardi and dragon. In Japanese and Indian culture we even can find characters of snakes with horns. In European, Asian, American, Indian and Bolivian myths the snake is depicted as a creator of the world.
