The first records about hunting of Mongolians were found in Mongolian Secret History. Scientists, such as Sh. Natsagdorj, D. Gongor, B. Buyanchuulgan, Sh. Gaadamba, B. Spuler wrote about hunting tradition of Mongolians, including it`s purpose, forms and customs. This time we tried to present about the animals mentioned in Mongolian Secret History , the time and the purpose of hunting, the weapons used with hunting purpose. We can classify our study as follows: 1. Names of the animals; 2. Places and people named after animals; 3. Goods and clothes made with animal wool and skin; 4. Names of the animals used for comparison.
