This study aimed to nurture professional manpower based on a digital system after reviewing spheres where special makeup artists can work as customized prosthesis artists and examining producible items. For this, courses were designed by deriving and newly categorizing knowledge and technology, and the results found the following: First, among national competency standards(NCS) jobs, knowledge and technology concerning makeup, 3D printing design, prosthetics & orthotics fabrication and management and medical instrumentation management competency unit were reviewed. According to a review of the advice from six experts (special makeup expert, customized prosthesis expert, prosthetics & orthotics production and training expert, artificial eye fabrication expert, digital operation expert, medical instrumentation production & sales expert), digital operation-based customized prosthesis artists are required to have counseling and job competencies. In terms of counseling, ‘counseling with the client’, ‘understanding of the disability’, ‘assessment on the human body system’ and ‘medical instrumentation sales & management’ are needed. The following capabilities are required for job competency: ‘prosthesis fabrication’, ‘3D scanning & modeling’, and ‘3D printing’. Second, the subjects by semester were constructed based on knowledge and technology derived to handle customized prosthesis artists’ duties as follows: First semester of freshman year - ‘Anatomy and Physiology’, ‘Aesthetic Understanding of Orthosis’, ‘Kinesiology & Physicals’, ‘Counseling with Client and Assessment’, ‘Prosthetic Materials’; second semester of freshman year - ‘Rehabilitation Medicine’, ‘3D PhotoScan Basics’, ‘3D Modeling Basics’, ‘3D Printing Basics’, ‘Reverse Engineering Basics’; first semester of sophomore year - ‘3D PhotoScan Applications’, ‘3D Modeling Applications’, ‘3D Printing Applications’, ‘Reverse Engineering Applications’; second semester of sophomore year - ‘Prosthesis Fabrication Practices #1, #2, #3’, ‘Medical Instrumentation Management’, ‘Counseling with Client and Applications’.
