This study constructed curriculum for high school students majoring in cosmetology by applying ‘the project-learning methods’ as the teaching-learning approach to enhance the students’ creativity and problem-solving ability in art makeup courses. Considering the learners’ levels, an art makeup course model that uses a mask as a teaching tool was suggested. First, the definition, types, and characteristics of art makeup and project-learning methods were examined through a literature review. In the next step, Kilpatrick’s Project Method was applied, and courses were planned, using masks to effectively present art makeup classes. In the final chapter, the results of the actual courses were described. The curriculum was planned and implemented in 4 stages: purposing, planning, accomplishing, and evaluating. As a result, the students’ fear of failure was reduced while learning effects were enhanced. In addition, unique and creative results were obtained.
