다원주의 경제학은 다원주의 방법론을 지지하는 경제학인 동시에 비주류 경제학이 연대해서 대안경제학을 제시하려는 학문 운동이다. 이는 경제학연구와 교육에 다양한 관점을 받아들여서 주류경제학 일원주의를 극복하고 다원적 경제학을 만들려는 시도이다. 현재 이 운동은 세계적인 관심을 받고있지만, 국내에서는 이에 관한 소개나 본격적인 연구는 물론 대부분 선진국에 있는 학생들의 다원주의 경제학 네트워크도 없다. 이러한 상황에서 다원주의 경제학을 소개하는 것이 이 논문의 목적이다. 연구의 내용은 다음과 같다. 먼저 다원주의 경제학의 전개 과정을 살펴본다. 다음으로 다원주의 경제학의 정체성과 다원주의 경제학이 지향하는 원리를 확인한다. 또한, 이들의 성과와 대안경제학으로의 가능성을 가늠해본다. 마지막으로 다원주의 경제학의 한계 및 보완점을 제시한다.
Pluralist economics is an academic movement that seeks to present alternative economics in solidarity with heterodox economics rather than a specific economic school. This is an argument that various viewpoints should be accepted in economics research and education, and it is an attempt to create pluralist economics as an alternative to the monism of mainstream economics. Although pluralistic economics is receiving worldwide attention, there are not enough studies and introductions in Korea. In this context, the purpose of this paper is to introduce pluralist economics in Korea. The contents of the study are as follows. First, we examine the development process of pluralist economics. Next, the identity and principles of pluralist economics are confirmed. Also, we examine their achievements and their potential for alternative economics. Finally, the limitations and complementary points of pluralist economics are presented.
