The article examines some aspects of speech etiquette and analyzes national characteristics that influence the formation of etiquette formulas in the Russian and Chinese languages. The object of comparative study was not only traditional, but also modern models of expressing the category of politeness, adopted when communicating in iPhones, smartphones and the Internet.
