Functional and linguocultural specificity of phraseological units with the «money» component in Russian

The topic of the article and its content correspond to modern semantic and cognitive research. It examines culturally-specific information attached to the cultural component of the lexical meaning of a word, which implies not only a theoretical-descriptive, but a practical nature of the research carried out in relation to the process of teaching Russian to foreign students. The topic is relevant due to the need to determine the national and cultural characteristics of the social and spiritual life of an ethnos by identifying the cultural component in the lexical meaning of units of the Russian language, including sustainable ones, on the basis of individual basic conceptual elements. Scientific novelty of the research lies in considering lexical units with a cultural component of meaning, taking into account linguistic and extralinguistic factors of lexical units with a cultural component of meaning. It analyses phraseological units of the language system with the «money» component from the point of view of the peculiarities of their functioning. As a part of research of sustainable lexical units with the «money» component, which carry culturally specific information, its semantic parameters are considered in detail. Modern methods of linguistic analysis, skills of generalization of voluminous linguistic material are used. The research results can be used in the course of linguistic semantics, phraseology and practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
