초등학교 고학년의 언어폭력 예방을 위한 의사소통훈련 프로그램 개발

The Development of a Communication Training Program to Prevent Verbal Violence of Elementary School Students in Higher Grade

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 고학년의 언어폭력 예방을 위한 의사소통훈련 프로그램을 구안하고, 구안한 프로그램을 실시하여 이들의 언어폭력 예방에 어떠한 효과가 있는지를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 언어폭력의 정의와 유형, 그리고 언어폭력 유발 요인에 관한 선행연구를 고찰하여 언어폭력을 예방할 수 있는 방법으로 의사소통훈련 방법을 제시하였다. 의사소통훈련 방법에는 자기표현하기, 경청하기, 공감하기, 문제해결하기의 4가지 구성요소가 포함되었다. 이러한 프로그램 구성요소를 토대로 언어폭력 예방을 위한 총 11회기의 의사소통훈련 프로그램을 구안하였다. 구안된 프로그램의 효과검증은 경기도의 H초등학교 5학년 2개 학급을 대상으로 실시하였다. 검사 도구는 구자관(2007)의 언어폭력 검사지를 전문가들의 자문을 얻어 초등학교 고학년 수준에 맞게 수정하여 사용하였다. 자료처리는 혼합변량분석(Mixed ANOVA)을 활용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 의사소통훈련 프로그램은 초등학교 고학년의 언어폭력을 감소시켜 언어폭력 예방에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 최근 초등학교 고학년의 언어폭력이 나날이 심각해짐에도 불구하고 이를 위한 예방프로그램이 거의 없는 실정을 감안할 때, 언어폭력상황에서 직접 실천할 수 있는 활용도가 높은 프로그램을 개발했다는데 그 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to create and implement a communication training program to prevent verbal violence among elementary school students in higher grade and to verify its effect on prevention of verbal violence. For this research, two classes were selected among 5th graders from elementary school. This study was designed by Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The assessment tool used throughout this study is called Verbal Violence Scale, which is a revision of the Verbal Violence Scale developed by Gu Ja-Kwan(2007). For data processing, statistical results were analyzed using Mixed ANOVA. The effects of this program were presented from the standpoint of the whole as well as subordinate spheres. In conclusion, this program has been shown to reduce and prevent verbal violence between higher grade elementary school students, thus proving the program s effectiveness. This study is meaningful in that the developed communication training program to prevent verbal violence can be used in guiding the lives of higher grade elementary school students, which is of great importance, given that despite the need for such a program, nothing comparable exists in the education system.
