동영상을 활용한 수업비평 활동과 예비교원의 수업전문성 변화

A Study of Teaching Critique Using Video for Enhancing Teaching Expertise for Pre-Service Teachers

본 연구는 수업비평 활동을 통한 예비교원의 수업전문성 신장 가능성을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 우수 수업동영상을 활용하여 수업비평 활동을 실시한 후 수업전문성 신장 여부에 대한 예비교원의 인식을 조사하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수업전문성을 총 4개의 영역으로 나누고 그 하위 영역들의 수업전문성 변화 정도를 측정한 결과, ‘수업전략 및 매체활용’, ‘교수자와 학습자간의 커뮤니케이션’, ‘상황 대처 및 시간관리’, ‘자신의 수업전문성에 대한 성찰’ 영역과 그 하위 11개 영역 모두에서 수업비평 전과 후의 변화가 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 확인할 수 있었다. 즉, 동영상을 활용한 수업비평 활동이 예비교원의 수업전문성을 신장시키는데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 동영상 수업비평 활동을 하고 난 후에 교원양성과정에서 수업비평 활동의 필요성에 대해 조사한 결과 대부분이 긍정적인 반응을 보인 것으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 수업전문성 향상을 위한 동영상 수업비평 방법 활용에 대해서 ‘좋은 점’을 유목화하여 정리한 결과, ‘좋은 점’에서는 ‘수업전략 및 매체활용의 실제적 방법의 습득’, ‘실제 현장의 수업을 간접 경험’, ‘나의 수업 방법의 문제를 반성하고 개선점을 확인’ 등의 유익이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Considering teachers as a professional careers their specialties are best described in teaching. The current training process in the teach training institutes lack professionalism in teaching style. In this context, this research tries to seek a possible improvement of expertise of Pre-service Teachers through class criticism in teacher training. We conducted an experiment on the opinions to toward the improvement of professionalism in class criticism by showing the video of excellent teaching style to teacher candidates as participants. The experiment run as follows. First, The results indicated that there was a statistically significant difference before and after the activities in all the four areas and its eleven sub-categories. It means the critique activities were effective to the improvement of professionalism in teaching style in the entire area. Second, the participants expressed positive opinions toward the necessity of the critique activities in the teaching training process. Third, the advantages of the critique activities were Practical assesment of teaching strategies and media utilization , In-direct experience of field study , and Reflection and improvement in one s teaching style
