학습방식으로 역사학습일지 쓰기의 가능성 탐색

History Leaning Journal Writing as History Assessment Tools

역사글쓰기는 학교 현장에서 교사들이 많이 이용한다. 이 글에서는 수업과 연계되는 역사글쓰기 학습방식으로 역사학습일지를 소개했다. 학습일지는 수학과, 영어과, 국어과에서 많이 시행되고 있으나 역사과에서는 아직까지 잘 이용되지 않는 학습방식이다. 이에, 역사수업에서 학습일지가 학생들의 학습 능력 향상에 얼마나 도움이 되는지 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 학습일지는 학생들이 역사에 관심을 끌게 해주었고 학생 나름의 관점으로 역사를 해석하게 해 줄 수 있는 능력을 키워주었다. 그리고 학생들은 일지를 정리하면서 기존 역사적 사실의 오류를 수정하기도 하고 역사적 판단을 바꾸기도 하였다. 물론 일부 학생들은 새로운 지식의 오류를 만들었다. 이런 경우 교사가 즉각 코멘트를 달아 오류를 수정할 기회를 주었다. 또 역사글쓰기 말미에는 역사수업에 집중하겠다는 반성, 역사 관련 책을 더 읽어야겠다는 결심 등 역사공부와 역사수업에 대한 반성과 다짐을 더했다.

The writing in history class is popular with teachers in history class. This paper is aimed to introduce the history learning journal for the writing in history class. Learning journal has been used in mathematics education, english education, korean Language education and so forth. But it is still not used in history education. So, I surveyed whether history learning journal is helpful for the improvement of students grades or not. The results are as follows. First, history learning journal makes student interested in history or history class. Second, students have the chance for interpreting history on their viewpoints. Third, students are able to catch the mistakes of historical events which they already taught and to modify their judgements about historical events or persons during writing learning journal. The last, students added to the self-reflection or resolutions for history or history class.
