제7차 미술과 교육과정 개정안 비교 연구

A comparative study on Korean art education curricula

제7차 미술과 교육과정과 2007년 2월에 개정된 미술과 교육과정을 비교 분석한 결과 개정된 미술과 교육과정은 제7차 교육과정에 비해 총괄 목표를 보다 구체적으로 제시하고 ‘미적 감수성’과 ‘비평 능력’과 문화 시민으로서의 소양 함양을 강조하고 있다. 아울러 교육과정의 총괄목표를 보다 명확하게 해석할 수 있도록 학년군별로 위계성을 고려하여 미술과 학년 군별 목표를 체계적으로 제시하고 있다. 미술과 개정안의 내용 체계는 제7차 교육과정에서 대 영역을 미적체험, 표현, 감상의 세 영역으로 나누었던 것을 그대로 유지하였으나 중 영역과 소 영역에서는 일부 수정이 있었다. 개정안에서 강조되고 있는 시각문화에 대한 연구는 2002년도부터 국내 여러 학자들에 의해 연구되어온 것으로 미술교육에 있어서 시대적 요구를 반영한 것으로 평가된다. 종합적으로 미술과 개정안은 변화하고 있는 학교 현장의 미술수업을 보다 효율적으로 진행하기 위하여 제7차미술과 교육과정을 수정 보완한 형태를 유지하고 있으며, 일부 영역에서 학교급간 구분을 통합하는 경향을 보이고 있다.

Compare to the 7th art education curriculum, the revised plan come up with more detail on the overall objective of curriculum and emphasize the susceptibility of aesthetic and the ability of criticism which is one of the essential objective of art education for cultured citizen. The structure of contents of the revised plan does not change too much except medium and detail area. Concentration on the visual culture in the revised plan has been appreciated the periodic demand. One of the main improvement of the revised plan is that it clarify the overall objective and contents of art education curricula which have been misunderstood in the classroom due to the unclear description of objectives in the 7th art education curriculum. In expression section, the revised plan introduce the process of expression instead of materials and instruments. This implies that the revised plan emphasis the thinking and understanding the artistic aspects of our living environment. On the whole, the revised curriculum complements the basic contents of the 7th art education curriculum with minor revision and integration.
