본 연구의 목적은 청소년시설에 대한 청소년의 생각과 기대를 파악하여, 향후 청소년시설 확충과 운영의 기초자료를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 H시의 권역별로 선정된 청소년을 대상으로 청소년시설에 대한 의견을 알아보는 초점집단 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 조사결과, 청소년 시설의 접근성이 떨어지는 것과, 진로와 관련된 프로그램에 대한 선호가 높음을 확인하였다. 청소년들은 또래만의 공간을 원했고, 성장을 이루어 가는 곳, 쉼의 장소로 청소년 시설을 인식하고 있었다. ‘따로 또 같이 공부할 수 있는 공간, 쉴 수 있는 공간, 청소년만의 공간, 편안한 공간, 나무와 조명으로 이루어진 따뜻한 공간, 다양한 볼거리와 놀거리가 있는 공간, 혼자만의 공간’을 바라고 있음이 확인되었다. 청소년들은 청소년 시설이 갖추어야 할 요건으로, 주변에 유해시설이 없고, 설립 과정에서 청소년의 의견을 수렴하고 반영해야 하며, 청소년이 찾아오기 쉽도록 접근성이 좋아야 하고 여러군데 있어야 한다고 보았다. 이를 통해 청소년의 욕구를 반영한 접근성이 좋은 편안한 청소년 시설의 확충을 제언하였다.
The purpose of this study is to identify the thoughts and expectations of young people about youth facilities, and to present basic data for the expansion and operation of youth facilities in the future. Therefore an FGI was conducted to find out their opinions on youth facilities for youths selected by H city. As a result of FGI, it was confirmed that the accessibility of youth facilities was low and the preference for career-related programs was high. Adolescents wanted a space unique to their peers, and they recognized youth facilities as a place of growth and rest. It was confirmed that they were hoping for a space where they could study together, a space where they could relax, a space only for teenagers, a comfortable space, a warm space made of trees and lights, a space with various things to see and play, a space alone.” Adolescents saw that there are no harmful facilities in the vicinity, and the opinions of young people should be collected and reflected during the establishment process, and there should be good accessibility and there should be several places so that young people can easily visit them. Through this, the expansion of comfortable youth facilities with good accessibility reflecting the needs of the youth was suggested.
