본 연구에서는 한국과 러시아 국가원수의 담화를 논증에 입각한 비판적 담화 분석에 따라 고찰하였다. 분석 방법은 실천적 논증에 바탕을 둔 Fairclough의 비판적 담화 분석이며, 문재인 대통령의 임시국무회의 담화와 푸틴 대통령의 미 INRFT 탈퇴에 따른 담화를 분석 대상으로 삼았다. 기존의 연구에서 제시되지 않았던 분석 유목들을 추가적으로 제시한다. 기존의 연구에서는 주장(Conclusion) , 목표 전제(Goal premise) , 상황 전제(Value premise) , 가치 전제(Value premise) , 수단 목표 전제(Means-goal premise) , 소극적 결과 (Negative consequences) , 소극적 결과 고찰(Negative consequences function) 으로 논증 분석을 시도하였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 분석 유목 외에 ‘입장 표명(expression of stance) , 역사적 배경(Historical background) , 국제 정세(International situations) 전제에 따른 논증의 분석을 제시하였다. 양국 정상의 담화 모두, 위기 상황에 따른 반응으로서의 성격을 가진다고 볼 수 있었다. 한편, 문제가 되는 현안 자체의 성격이 상이하기 때문에, 설득의 수단은 변별적으로 나타난 것도 살펴볼 수 있었다. 이를테면, 문재인 대통령의 담화에서는 ‘역사적 배경 전제와 국제 정세 전제를 두루 활용함으로써 설득력을 높였으나, 푸틴 대통령의 담화에서는 ‘역사적 배경 전제와 국제 정세 전제는 별도로 언급하지 않음으로써 문제 제기의 소지를 불식시키는 것이 확인할 수 있었다.
This study analyzes address by President Moon Jae-in of Republic of Korea and statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin by critical discourse analysis based on practical argumentation, and compares how the President delivered the message through the discourse. President Moon Jae-in s speech and Russian president Vladimir Putin s statement delivered from external unfavorable factors - Japan s decision for the retaliatory action and U.S. decision to withdraw from the INRFT. When describing the situation, President Moon Jae-in describes concisely and clearly situation Korea is facing, while Vladimir Putin presents the process of cancelling the treaty. And, in particular, President Moon suggests concrete historical background premise. In addition, President Moon Jae-in emphasizes historical facts and events to support its claims, while president Vladimir Putin doesn t mention backgrounds related to U.S. decision to withdraw from the INRFT.
