The Research of policy suggestion through analysis of research trends in overseas Korean educational institutions: Focusing on Korean Language Schools

재외 한국교육기관에 대한 연구 동향 분석을 통한 정책 제언: 한글학교를 중심으로

[연구목적] 본 연구에서는 한글학교 관련 연구 동향을 분석하여 한글학교 관련 후속 연구의 방향을 제안함과 동시에 한글학교의 발전을 위한 정책적 방안을 살펴보고자 한다. [연구방법] 이를 위해 2005년부터 2021년까지 진행된 한글학교와 한국어교육 관련 논문 180편을 대상으로 한글학교 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 연구주제 영역은 학습자 중심, 교사 중심, 한글학교로 분류함으로 연구를 진행하였다. 또한, 재외동포에 관한 연구를 포함함으로 한글학교에 관한 정보 부족 문제를 극복하고자 하였다. [연구결과] 연구주제의 경우 학습자, 교사, 부모 등의 한글학교 관련 인물에 관한 연구, 한국어교육, 한글 교재, 한글학교 운영 및 교육과정 등 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만, 연구 진행에 있어서 한글학교에 관한 정보가 부족하여 연구에 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타난다. [결론] 한글학교와 한국어교육과 관련된 연구의 경우, 과거 연구에서도 문제화 되었던 교재 개발, 교수 연수 관련 문제, 교육 과정 및 교육 자료 개발 등의 문제가 지속적으로 나타나고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 한글학교의 발전을 위한 향후 연구의 경우 학습자 및 교사, 학부모의 요구분석을 통해 현지 한글학교에 실질적으로 적용이 가능한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다. 또한, 현지화된 학습 자료 및 교수활동 설계 및 한글학교 간의 정보 공유를 통해 교육과정 차별화에 대한 논의가 지속적으로 연구되어야 할 것이다.

[Purpose] In this study, we try to analyze the research trends related to Korean Language Schools, suggest the direction of follow-up research related to Korean Language Schools, and at the same time examine policy measures for the development of Korean Language Schools. [Methods] For this purpose, we analyzed the research trends of Korean Language Schools on 180 papers related to Korean Language Schools and Korean language education conducted from 2005 to 2021. [Results] In the case of research subjects, research on people related to the Korean language school such as learners, teachers, parents and Korean language education, Korean textbooks, and Korean language schools operation, curriculum and more. It is shown that various studies are in progress. However, the lack of information about Korean language schools in the progress of the study suggests that the study is having difficulties. [Conclusion] In the case of future research for the development of Korean Language Schools, research that can be practically applied to local Korean schools should be conducted through the analysis of the needs of learners, teachers, and parents. In addition, discussions on differentiation of curriculum should be continuously studied through localized learning materials and design of teaching activities and sharing information among Korean Language Schools.
