음운사의 쟁점과 이론, 또 다른 접근 모색

Problems and theories of historical phonological, seeking another approach

본고에서 4가지 주제와 관련된 쟁점에 대해 살펴보았다. 첫째, 국어사에서 실제 모음추이가 있었는지, 둘째, 자음체계 변화와 구개음화 규칙 발생 간의 선후 문제, 셋째, /･/의 변화 및 원순모음화의 규칙성 문제, 넷째, 유성 후두마찰음 ‘ㅇ[ɦ]’과 관련된 표기의 해석 문제이다. 이 4가지 주제가 쟁점이 되는 것은 일정 정도 자료나 현상을 해석하는 이론적 배경의 차이에 기인한다. 이론적 배경을 고려하여 쟁점의 내용을 살펴보고, 쟁점의 또 다른 접근 가능성을 소략하게나마 모색해 보았다.

In this paper, I have looked at issues related to four themes. First, whether there was actually vowel shift in the history of the Korean language, second, the problem of precedence between changes in the consonant system and the occurrence of the palatalization rule, third, the problem of /･/ change and the regularity of labialization, fourth, the problem of interpretation of the notation related to ‘ㅇ’. The reason that these four themes become issues is due to differences in the theoretical background that interprets data or phenomena to a certain extent. In consideration of the theoretical background, the content of the issue was examined, and another possibility of approaching the issue was briefly explored.
