국내 음악영재교육 내 실용음악 영재교육의 확대방안 모색

Solution Search for Expansion of Gifted Education in the Applied Music from the Gifted Music Education in Korea

오늘날 현대사회는 4차 산업혁명 시대에 맞추어 정보화 시대, 지식 기반사회로 변모하고 있다. 이와 함께 영재교육은 2018년 ‘제4차 영재교육 진흥계획’을 시행하며 창의적 인재 양성을 위한 영재교육 프로그램의 고도화 및 다양화를 추구하고 있다. 음악영재교육 역시 2002년 이후 이러한 국가정책과 함께 꾸준히 확대되고 있는 추세를 보인다. 그 세부사항을 살펴보면 실용음악교육의 경우 약 8%의 분포도를 이루고 있는 반면, 대부분 클래식에 주로 치중되어 있는 모습이다. 결과적으로 실용음악교육의 인재 양성을 위한 영재교육 및 국가적 지원 프로그램은 미흡한 상황이다. 이에 실용음악 영재교육의 현황을 살펴보고 이를 음악영재교육 운용 실제의 내용들과 비교분석하여 다음의 다섯 가지 확대방안을 모색하였다. 첫째, 실용음악 영재교육의 저변 확대는 무엇보다 우선시 되어야 한다. 둘째, 기존 음악영재교육의 실기 중심 선발 과정 관례에서 벗어나 실용음악 영재교육만의 특화된 선발기준이 도입되어야 할 것이다. 셋째, 실용음악 영재교육의 교육 목적에 적합한 프로그램의 개발이 필요하다. 넷째, 실용음악 영재교육을 교육할 수 있는 전문교사 양성이 시급하다. 다섯째, 실용음악 영재교육의 지속적인 발전을 위해서는 국가적 차원의 지원확대가 필요하다. 본 연구는 실용음악 영재교육의 발전을 도모하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 의의가 있으며, 향후 실용음악 영재 발굴을 위한 차별화된 선발과 교육 시스템 도입의 필요성을 확보하고 나아가 국가 차원의 제도와 지원의 실질적이고 구체적인 방안을 모색하는 데에 이바지하고자 한다.

The modern society is changing into an information age and knowledge-based society in 4th Industrial Revolution. With this situation, the gifted education has been sought the development and diversification of ‘the 4th Gifted Education Promotional Plan’ in 2018. Since 2002, the gifted music education in Korea has also been steadily expanding along with the national policies. With looking into details, the applied music education has a distribution of about 8%, on the other hand, the most cases are mainly focused on classical music. As a result, it is still insufficient to support the gifted education and national support program for fostering talent in the applied music education. Thus, this study examines the necessity by comparing and analyzing the current status of the gifted music education with the actual contents of the operation of the gifted music education, and then the following five solution searches for expansion were sought. First, the expansion of the base of the gifted education in the applied music should be prioritized. Second, it is necessary to deviate from the conventional practice-oriented selection process of the gifted music education, then the specialized selection criteria for the gifted education in the applied music should be introduced. Third, it is necessary to develop suitable programs for the educational purpose of the gifted education of the applied music. Fourth, it is urgent to cultivate professional instructors who can teach the gifted education in the applied music. Fifth, it is necessary to expand support of the nation for the continuous development of the gifted education in the applied music. This study is meaningful in providing fundamental data for the development of the gifted education in the applied music, and it aims to expand the necessity of differentiated selection and introduction of an education system to discover the gifted students in the applied music in the future and contribute to finding practical and specific solutions for national system and support.
