본 논문에서는 맹화섭의 학술 활동을 『의림』, 『대한한의학회지』, 기타 분과학회지에 실린 논문들을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 맹화섭의 학술 활동을 담고 있는 각종 학술잡지에 발표된 논문의 발굴과 정리라는 목표를 달성하기 위해 해당 학회지에 게재된 논문을 도표화하고 그 간략한 내용을 요약하였다. 논문을 발굴하고 정리하면서 맹화섭의 연구 경향이 병증, 처방, 학술발표·학술집담회발표, 문헌의 번역의 네 개의 카테고리로 요약된다는 것을 발견하여 도표화하게 되었다. 본 연구가 바탕이 되어 맹화섭의 병증, 처방, 임상증례, 번역 등의 학술 활동이 보다 더 심도 있게 연구될 수 있기를 바란다.
In this study, we examine Maeng Hwa-seop s academic activities, focusing on articles published in Uirim, JKM(Journal of Korean Medicine), and other branch journals which were affiliated with the Society of Korean Medicine. The present study charts and summarizes the papers published in the above journals. By organizing Maeng Hwa-seop s papers and making tables, we find that his research trends can be divided into four categories: symptoms and diseases, prescriptions, academic presentations, and translations of medical literatures. Based on this study, we hope that further researches about the academic activities of Maeng Hwa-seop can be conducted in the future.
