K-pop is a South Korean modern music genre. The number of its fans grows every year. Now they can influence the music awards. In this article, the author finds out whether K-pop is a separate subculture. Also, during the study, K-pop fans are compared with already known subcultures (rockers, rappers, goths, etc). At this stage, the similarities and differences between K-pop Fandom and global musical subcultures are noticed. The author made conclusions that K-pop Fandom is a modern global musical subculture. It has its own characteristics. Also, the study of this subculture indicates changes in the global culture.
