The article is devoted to the study of the techniques of literary cinematography in Russian prose at the turn of the XX-XXI centuries. The main thesis is that in the current situation of close interaction of arts literature is forced to adapt to the new requirements that the contemporary cultural context puts forward. Literature builds new relationships with non-textual elements, and also it borrows elements and techniques of other types of art. And in this case, cinema has an aldous influence on literature. Writers use elements of literary cinematography, applying the montage principle of construction of the work, actualization of the act of observation in it, which contributes to audiovisuality of the text and management of the reader s attention, which allows to construct a rich, dynamic narrative and express complex ideological concepts. The article considers how these elements are expressed in “The Taking of Izmail” by M. Shishkin, ‘Blue Salo” by V. Sorokin, “Last Dream of Reason” by D. Lipskerov.
