The article is devoted to the analysis of the specifics of space implementation in Kim Ae Ran s story “Cold Season”. The main thesis of the article is that the space presented in the story as an apartment not only becomes the background of the narrated events. The space also contributes to the construction of narration through its own audiovisuality and the emphasis on detail and narrator associated with the space. The space in the story becomes a way of combining past and present for the protagonists. And the change in space speaks to their inner transformation.
