In recent years, as interest in health and welfare, especially child welfare and human rights, has increased, a variety of sports classes and programs for children and infants are being opened in sports facilities, along with changes in playground spaces in the region. The number of lifestyle-oriented sports facilities is increasing. However, the facilities related to infants built in the current sports facilities are provided in limited spaces, and spaces for infants preferences, interests, and various physical activities are insufficient. Therefore, it is necessary to organize various play spaces for toddlers as a place for exchange and cultural community revitalization for various age groups as well as physical activities. Therefore, in this study, as a method of securing child-friendly spaces lacking in local communities, the necessity of securing various infant s play spaces centered on physical education facilities was proposed, and a basic study was conducted to suggest a plan for this. As a theoretical study, considerations were presented when planning infant’s play spaces, and domestic sports facilities were surveyed as a status survey, and based on this, the current status of infant s play spaces in sports facilities was analyzed. Also, based on the problems and improvements, the spaces that can be created in the outdoor and indoor spaces of the sports facility are checked, and the target and application plan for creating a play space that can be applied thereto are proposed. Based on this, basic research materials were provided as well as ideas for the development of play spaces for infants when designing facilities in a child-friendly area in the future, sports centers, or sports welfare facilities.
