목제(木製) 운동구 이용 수종에 대한 고찰

Review on the Species Classification of the Collection for Wooden Sporting Goods

Crafts is like aliving organism that growing up continuously with human history. Craft is a beautiful instrument made by human hand, a creative art and a cultural inheritance of mankind. Craft is an aesthetic of life that is permissed on ‘use’, it’s practice, and a mirror reflecting the epoch as well. It also is cosilience of science, art and life, and a fruit of communication. Woodcraft activities have an inseparable relationship with our life, and it is a field that needs to be continued because of the value of education for the growing students. The interest in woodworking from childhood to old age is rapidly expanding nowadays, therefore this study has been done to provide images to those who are engaged in woodcraft business and also those who are interested in this field. If we look at the use of wood in our daily life, We can classify it into Architecture, Civil engineering, Furniture, Musical Instrument, Packaging, Recreational instrument, Exercise instrument, Stationery, Daily commodity, and Industrial use. Early golf clubs were almost certainly made entirely of wood with the clubhead and shaft being made of different types, glued together and bound in twine. Ash (Fraxinus spp.) and hazel (Corylus avellana) were used for the shaft, while beech (Fagus spp.), blackthorn (Prunus spinosa), pear (Pyrus communis), and apple (Malus Pumila) were popular for the head. In another sports item, the most frequently used species are hardwoods such as ebony (Diospyros ebenum), hicory (Carya spp.), box wood (Buxus sempervirens), beech (Fagus spp.), myall wood (Acacia pendula), mulga (Acacia aneura), cinamon wood (Cinnamomum camphora Sieb.), coach wood (Ceratopetalum apelatum), hinoki (Chamaecyparis obtusa), silver magnolia (Machilus thunbergii), hacverry (Celtis spp.), rose wood (Dalbergia nigra), ebony (Diospyros ebenum), oak (Quercus spp.), cherry (Prunus spp.), beech (Fagus spp.), bamboo (Phyllostachys bambusoides Siebold & Zucc.), walnut (Juglans regia), maple (Acer palmatum Thunb), bubinga (Guibourtia spp.), birch (Betula) and laminated wood.
