This theie aims to classify the characteristics of tne form through analysis of the expression form of art furniture and seeking the possibility of artistic expression of furniture in today’s reality where the traditional fine art system is broken and various art phenomena coexist. This is due to the furniture culture of our society, where traditional furniture and wood crafts, which have been dealt with in Korean wood crafts since modern times, have narrowed their social position in the latter half of the 20th century, and mass-produced industrial furniture has also sought a new way out under the influence of post-modernism in the 1980s. The researcher believes that the direction of modern furniture is very liberal in the use of forms, colors, and materials in expression, and reflects the deconstructive nature of the form by grafting everyday objects to the furniture. In thr post-modern era, a new class of Western designers redefine the boundaries of design, explored the visual possibilities of expression by breaking away from the structure of manufacturing. The researcher sees furniture used as a medium of conceptual expression and art as art furniture, and tried to analyze the expression forms of art furniture that appear in various forms of expression.
