Regrading to the colors of sofas which could be most affected by color factors in home furnishings, this research conducted a survey 100 consumers from 20’s to 60’s in age ranges. The results of the survey are as follows. The first, for the question of how long they use sofas a day, 2 hours accounting for 29% of the participants ranks first. The next second place is less than 1 hour and 3 hours tying 26% of the consumers. In addition, females use sofas more than males. The second, 56% of the consumers respond that the function of sofas is the most im-portant factor in purchasing them and the next factors chosen are a design, a price and a color in order of important factors. The third, the order of preferred materials of sofas is a genuine leather the first (69%), and the next is an artificial leather and a fabric. The fourth, for the ques-tion of what the most important factor in choosing a sofa color is, an atmosphere of a living room takes the top ranking (75%) and a safe option ranks the second and a personal color taste and cleanness are in order. The fifth, for the question of what color of sofas is preferred, a brown color is first ranked (38%) and gray, white, blue, black and red colors are in order. Males favor a brown, a gray, and a black color more than the other colors. Whereas, females show a varie-ty of color tastes like a red, a white, and a blue color. As for age preferences, 20’s favor achro-matic colors like brown, gray, and black whereas 50’s show a variety of chromatic color prefer-ences like blue and red.
