Abstract: High-efficiency eco-friendly insulation materials are required in the wooden con-struction market. In this study, the test house of single wall and double wall of rice husks char-coal using the wall without insulation and glass wool insulation was manufactured and com-pared by measuring temperature, humidity. The temperature data of Jeonju City provided by the Korea Meteorological Administration and the temperature in each test house were compared. The average value between the groups was similar, but the characteristics were different accord-ing to statistical verification. The n-wall was closely reacted to the external temperature change, which led to a large temperature change and the lowest insulation performance. All other walls showed good insulation performance, and the best performance of rice husks charcoal double wall was shown. In the case of humidity, statistical differences between groups were significant according to statistical analysis. In the case of humidity, it was generally good humidity control function. Overall, the walls using rice husks charcoal as an insulation material have superior in-sulation performance and pleasant indoor environment than the walls using glass wool as in-sulation material. Rice husks charcoal is an environmentally friendly material with excellent thermal resistance and is expected to contribute to the improvement of indoor air quality and the implementation of a well-being residential culture.
