Characteristics of Paper Seating Furniture by Decade from the 1960s

Since the 1960s when paper began to use as a structural material in furniture, design, the way of using paper was dramatically changed. Before the 1960s, paper was used mostly in decorative purposes like paper maché. The development of consumer culture in the 1960s created a new trend for paper in design.
