초등학교 독도교육의 현황과 문제점

경상북도교육청 소속 초등학교 독도교육을 중심으로

Emphasis on correct Dokdo education importance at school class is growing more and more with Japanese assertion on Dokdo sovereignty increase day by day. However, we would not recognize the importance of Dokdo issue at real elementary school class, and lack of positive teacher education for Dokdo based on real understanding is a worry some. In case of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province Education Office, elementary school curriculum organization and operation guide(Gyeongsangbuk-do Education Office Announcement #2009-2) listed the contents of Dokdo curriculum operation and the assistance, which aim to inspire the recognition on ‘Dokdo’ loving teaching in the textbook developed by Education Office self approved textbook for 10 hours/year teaching in elementary school. But, this way of curriculum change also have some problems such as lack of various Dokdo textbook or materials for teaching-learning, recognition for teacher s Dokdo education, training program or teaching hour, and program operation etc. To resolve these problems, it is necessary to develop elementary school use Dokdo textbook and its distribution, systematically communicated class for Dokdo education curriculum programming and operation etc., by education office and school unit for Dokdo education related activity. This improved method will contribute to the activation of Dokdo education to serve elementary school student’s willingness on Dokdo recognition and territory protection.
